regeneration native woody species from Riccarton Bush into surrounding
residential gardens and 2) determine the potential role that residential
gardens could play in helping to ensure the future of Riccarton Bush. To meet these aims an interdisciplinary approach has been adopted, consisting
of an ecological and a social component; the latter being the main focus of

Evening post 2nd October 1969
(WCL ref. EP/Municipal/Streets/Cuba Street)
One of the new stonework garden plots in the Cuba Street Mall which has been mysteriously shattered. The contractor, responsible for all the stonework, was distressed, to understate his emotion, when he made this early morning discovery. He suspects an even earlier delivery vehicle involved in some blind reversing - and which may have reciprocal fractures in its shape. The contractor is hoping that he will have fruitful discussions with the council on who pays the bill for putting the garden together again.

[Mr and Mrs Mathews? 1912]

1/2 length portrait of a man and woman, possibly Mr and Mrs Mathews?, taken outdoors in a garden, tha man wearing a light coloured shirt with a stand up collar, a dark coloured jacket and waistcoat; the woman wearing a dark coloured jacket, a light coloured lace blouse with a high collar, a necklace and brooch

[Children outdoors...1912]

Showing two outdoors scenes, the top image showing eight children in the garden with a house behind, the lower image showing two children in the garden in front of a house one child holding a doll

[Colnett? group 1912]

3/4 length portrait of Mr Colnett? with beard and moustache and two women, taken outdoors in a garden, Mr Colnett? seated wearing a mid coloured jacket and waistcoat, a light coloured shirt and tie, dark coloured striped trousers; the woman seated right wearing a dark coloured dress, a light coloured cape, a light coloured bonnet with a bow, holding a cane; the woman standing behind wearing a dark coloured jacket, a dark coloured hat with a feather

[Mr Colnett? 1912]

Full length portrait of Mr Colnett? with beard and moustache, standing outdoors in a garden with a leafy wall behind, wearing a mid coloured jacket and waistcoat, a light coloured shirt and tie, dark coloured striped trousers, a walking cane, a small embroidered hat

[Master and Missie Edwards 1911]

Full length portrait of Master and Missie Edwards, holding hands, standing on a verandah with garden in the background, Master Edwards wearing a mid coloured shirt and tie, matching shorts, a belt, long socks and shoes; Missie Edwards wearing a light coloured short length lace dress, bare feet

[Miss/Mrs?
